It’s looking like 2025 is going to be an exciting year for innovations from Actionstep. We are currently eagerly awaiting a full roll-out of Actionstep’s new document template system – Builder.
At this stage we’ve only seen some previews and guidance material from Actionstep, but it’s looking like Builder could be a game changer in terms of document automation.
The existing Actionstep template system allows for data stored on the matter to be automated into a template document, eliminating the need to type the same information repeatedly. However a frustrating limitation has been the inability to code templates with optional text and user prompts.
At this time, the information from Actionstep on Builder is that there will be an ability to prompt users with questions and insert, or not, optional text into template documentation.
Whilst there may be some time required by existing Actionstep users to update existing templates, overall this is looking like a huge improvement on the template offering from Actionstep, and ultimately another timesaver for lawyers.
